Conditional information

Current model comprises a user-friendly model with only a few predictors but still with good discriminative ability. The model showed good overall performance (AUC = 0.75) and is well calibrated compared with previously published predictive systems and validation studies, which showed a wide range in discriminative ability measured by an AUC ranging from 0.68 to 0.86. Therefore, the present model can safely be applied for risk prediction in a Dutch patient population. Nonetheless, it is expected that the 2 predictors included in the model will also hold their predictiveness in other populations and settings, because they are universal and easy to define.
