Validation of Nottingham Prognostic Index (NPI) in patients <70 years of age
This validation study describes the results of applying the Notthingham prognostic index (NPI) to all of the first 1,629 patients in a series of operable breast cancer up to the age of 70 years. The authors have used the index to define three subsets of patients with different chances of dying from breast cancer: good prognosis, moderate prognosis, and poor prognosis.
